PUBLIC NOTICE ON INSPECTION OF IMPORTED GOODS AT THE COUNTRY OF SUPPLY

The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) is a statutory body established under the Standards Act CAP 496, Laws of Kenya. KEBS is mandated to offer among other services, quality inspection of imports based on Kenya Standards or   approved specifications.

KEBS wishes to notify all importers, manufacturers and the general public that it has contracted the following companies/inspection agencies to inspect on its behalf, goods destined to Kenya from across the globe for the next 36 months with effect from February, 2022;

- Socie'te' Ge'ne'rale de Surveillance SA (SGS)

- TUV Austria Turk,

- China Certifi cation and Inspection (Group) Inspection Co. Ltd (CCIC)

- World Standardization Certification & Testing Group Co .,Ltd (WSCT)

- China hansom inspection&certification Co.ltd

- Bureau Veritas(BV)

This is in line with Legal Notice No. 78 of 15th July, 2005 on the "Verification of Conformity to Kenya Standards of Imports".

肯尼亚标准局 (KEBS) 是根据肯尼亚法律标准法 CAP 496 成立的法定机构。 KEBS 的任务是提供基于肯尼亚标准或批准规格的进口质量检验等服务。

KEBS 希望通知所有进口商、制造商和公众，自 2022 年 2 月起，在接下来的 36 个月内，它已与以下公司/检验机构签约，以代表其检验运往肯尼亚的货物；

- SGS

- TUV 奥地利，

- 中国认证检验（集团）检验有限公司（CCIC）

- 深圳世标检测认证股份有限公司（WSCT）

- 中地汉盛检测认证公司

- 必维国际检验集团(BV)

这符合 2005 年 7 月 15 日第 78 号关于“肯尼亚进口标准符合性验证”的法律公告。
